Fred Griffin

HFC is pleased to have as part of it’s team, Mr. Fred Griffin.   For HFC Funding, Mr. Griffin oversees all Quality Control procedures as directed by HUD.  In addition, Mr. Griffin works with borrowers/sponsors to determine the best loan program to meet their needs and directs loan work flow to other HFC employees.

Mr. Griffin attended Mississippi State University majoring in accounting.  Additionaly, he has IRS Auditors training, and is a graduate of the Realtor’s Institute.

From 1990 to 2011, Mr. Griffin was the Owner of Griffin & Associates, LLC which prepared grant administration, grant writing, real estate sales, construction, development, financing and consulting.  Also during this time period, Mr. Griffin was a Partner of Housing and Finance Services where he worked on financial structuring, grant writing and Section 42 LIHTC equity for development.

He was Vice President of The Mitchell Company from 1977 to 1990 and worked as a multi-family developer specializing in FHA Mortgages.

Adding to his vast experience, Mr. Griffin was Sr. Vice President at Wortman & Mann for eight years, overseeing mortgage banking operations and production as well as underwriting and closings.

Mr. Grifin has served as Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President,  President and Life Director of the Home Builders Association of Jackson, Mississippi and has also served as Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President, President and Chairman of Mortgage Finance, Life Director and is a Member of the Hall of Fame, of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi.  Additionally, he severed on the National Association of the Home Builders Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 20 years.

Other associations include The Governors Task Force, Mississippi Home Corporation Advisory Committee, Mississippi Home Corporation Program Lecturer, and the Director of American Homeowner Education & Counseling Institute 1996 to 2000.
